MacKenzie-Childs Hand-Painted Coupe Glass | Gold Dots & Checkerboard Foot
DETAILS
A little carnival in glass. This vintage MacKenzie-Childs coupe is hand-painted from rim to base. A twisting band of plum and green circles the lip, edged with a teal pinstripe, and gilded dots catch the light and throw it back at you. The amethyst stem has a hammered gold collar, and the whole glass rests on a hand-painted black-and-white checkerboard foot.
Pour champagne, a French 75, or a perfect Manhattan. It also works as a footed dish for olives, candied nuts, or after-dinner chocolates, and it looks lovely empty on a bar cart. Look closely and you’ll see the gold dots mirror the room around them.
Made in Aurora, New York, on the shores of Cayuga Lake, and gathered here from a home in Rochester. One of one, and you won’t find it twice.
