This Japanese-made necklace is built from materials that reward a second look: deep coral-red faceted carnelian beads, each separated by a small freshwater pearl spacer, culminating in a generous rectangle pendant of luminous mother of pearl. The iridescent layering of that pendant shifts with the light in the way only natural shell can.
