DETAILS
This semi-abstract oil painting, painted live in Hot Springs, NC, captures the dramatic beauty of an autumn mountain landscape. A rugged peak rises above a richly colored forest in a dazzling display of seasonal change. Warm hues of golden yellow, orange, coral, and rose illuminate the mountainside, contrasting with deep blues, purples, and cool greens in the shadowed trees below. The pale blue sky creates a serene backdrop for the expressive, broken brushstrokes that give the landscape energy and movement.
