Kathy Knapton has been making hand-painted porcelain in her studio for years, and every piece carries the particular joy of someone who has never once been bored by color. These snack bowls — just the right size for ice cream, olives, nuts, a handful of cherries, a small riot of berries — are glazed in richly saturated interiors: crimson, turquoise, saffron orange. The exterior band wraps each bowl in Kathy's signature layered motifs: botanical, geometric, folkloric, always deeply her own.
