Black Jet & Marcasite Brooch Necklace — 1940s Antique, Austrian Crystal & African Brass Cascade | 22"
The centerpiece is a 1940s antique brooch — a rectangular silver-toned frame densely worked with marcasite and leaf motifs, anchored by a deep black jet cabochon at its center. It is the kind of brooch that was made when making things well was simply what you did. Jazmine Giovanni found it, recognized its authority, and gave it an entirely new life.
From the brooch's lower edge cascade five bead fringe drops of extraordinary richness — faceted black jet, pavé rhinestone globes, antique African brass beads etched with ancient motifs, AB crystal rounds that flash green and bronze and copper depending on the light, and gold-toned faceted crystals that warm the darkness just enough. The drops vary in length, creating movement and drama with every step.
The 22" 14K triple plate gold rolo chain is strung with polished black onyx rounds and pavé crystal beads — substantial enough to hold its own, elegant enough to let the brooch lead.
Worn against a white shirt or a black dress, it is equally devastating.
One of a kind. Irreplaceable.
