DETAILS
A rounded, hand-thrown stoneware vase by ceramic artist Carol Townsend, wood-fired for a rich, speckled earth-toned body left unglazed below the shoulder. A pale celadon-blue ash glaze pools at the neck and rim, catching warm amber where it thins, while the raw clay surface below shows the natural texture and color variation only an atmospheric firing can produce. The gently pinched, asymmetrical lip gives the piece a hand-formed, one-of-a-kind character. Signed on the base. A beautiful accent piece for a single stem, dried branches, or displayed on its own.
- Pre-owned, excellent condition
- Approx 7" Dia at widest point x 9.5" H
